A brow lift surgically lifts the position of a patient’s eyebrows and forehead. By carefully elevating the skin, the frown lines can be eliminated or reduced creating a smoother and more youthful looking facial appearance.
IS A BROW LIFT RIGHT FOR ME?
A brow lift can be a solo cosmetic facial rejuvenation procedure or combined with an upper and/or lower eyelid lift (blepharoplasty). For those patients who desire a more comprehensive facial rejuvenation, a facelift may also be recommended.
As previously mentioned, a forehead lift eliminates vertical and/or horizontal wrinkles and lines. A brow lift, especially when done with an eyelid lift, produces a facial rejuvenation result that “opens” up your face. Additionally, patients report that their skin looks rejuvenated and refreshed!

A brow lift is an individualized procedure that Dr. Joseph Mazza and Dr. Sharma will tailor to your unique bone structure, skin texture, and underlying muscle tone. Dr. Mazza and Dr. Sharma will thoroughly discuss your aesthetic facial rejuvenation goals, conduct a thorough medical exam and recommend the appropriate combination of surgical procedures, if warranted, to achieve your desired aesthetic goals.
Dr. Mazza and Dr. Sharma often recommend a forehead lift in combination with other facial procedures such as an eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) or facelift.
BROW LIFT PROCEDURE AND RECOVERY
Dr. Joseph Mazza and Dr. Sharma are highly experienced in performing an endoscopic forehead/ brow lift. Dr. Mazza and Dr. Sharma advise patients that an endoscopic facial surgical procedure is safer and easier as only three to four very small incisions are used as compared to a non-endoscopic technique that involves cutting under the hairline.
Dr. Mazza and Dr. Sharma perform a brow lift in an outpatient surgical center under local anesthesia. Typically, three to four small incisions are made in the scalp, and an endoscope is carefully place into one incision. The endoscope, which is connected to a camera and video monitor, produces a clear view for Dr. Mazza and Dr. Sharma to visualize the forehead muscles and underlying connective tissue.
The next step is to lift the forehead skin and the muscles are cut and the brow is repositioned. The forehead is lifted and secured by using small clamps that are removed within 10 days.
By using the endoscopic technique, patients not only achieve excellent result but the healing process is improved.
