Cervicoplasty and Platysmaplasty (Neck Lift Surgery)
For many patients seeking a more youthful profile, Dr. Mazza and Dr. Sharma perform a neck lift (cervicoplasty) combined with platysmaplasty, a specialized procedure designed to tighten the underlying neck muscles while removing excess fat and loose skin.
As we age, the neck can develop unwanted fullness beneath the chin, visible neck bands, sagging skin, and loss of jawline definition. A neck lift addresses these concerns while restoring smoother contours, creating a more refined transition between the face and neck.

Neck Lift Recovery
Recovery varies based on the extent of surgery and whether additional aesthetic procedures are performed at the same time.
Following surgery, Dr. Mazza and Dr. Sharma will provide a neck compression bandage to support healing, minimize swelling, and help optimize your results. Most patients are instructed to wear the garment continuously for at least the first week, with nighttime use continuing as recommended during your recovery.
Mild swelling, bruising, tightness, and temporary numbness are common and expected during the healing process. As swelling subsides over the following weeks, patients begin to enjoy a smoother neck contour, improved jawline definition, and a more refreshed profile.

Neck Liposuction
For patients whose primary concern is excess fat beneath the chin or along the jawline, neck liposuction may be an effective treatment option.

Neck liposuction can be performed on its own or combined with a neck lift or other facial rejuvenation procedures for enhanced results. Recovery is generally shorter than a full neck lift, though compression garments and temporary swelling should still be expected during healing.
BOTOX® Cosmetic for Neck Bands
For patients with mild to moderate platysmal banding, BOTOX® Cosmetic injections may provide temporary improvement without surgery.
Vertical neck bands develop as the platysma muscles become more prominent over time. Carefully placed BOTOX® Cosmetic injections help relax these muscles, softening the appearance of neck bands and creating a smoother, more refreshed neck contour.
